The clothing system as a semiotic structure, was developed by one of the most important theorists of semiotics; Roland Barthes (1915-1980) who discussed the importance of the components of the clothes to imply human moods and spirits. This system as a visual language in expressing the characterization especially in cinema has a distinct function. Most of the works of Barthes are in the field of semiotics, based on the functional symptoms; Barthes in one of his very famous and important theories, the theory of language system in accordance with its sub-theory, known as cloths system focuses on the rules of clothes which create continuity in component and also important counts. Barthes defines sociological and cultural perspectives such as the clothing system, food system, car system and housework system using the language / speech opposition. Since language is a social and also value institution that is by no means an act and cannot be created, and conversely, speech is basically an individual act related to the choice and thought of an individual subject. In the present study, two moving pictures, Anna Karenina and My Fair Lady will be investigated based on Roland Barthes thesis to show that the films’ clothing system functions as a sign system. Also the purpose of the selection of these two films in the research is to identify and compare the relationship between the colors, black and white in costume design of the actors and their personality contradictions as well as the analysis of their clothing in opposition to each other. Both films are adaptations of famous novels and are the narrating the main character as a woman who’ s social and cultural conditions have influenced her feelings and attitudes. Through creation of influential costumes, colors of the actor’ s costumes are in a significant correlation with other semiotic layers. The aim of selecting movies for comparative analyses in this research is identifying and comparing the conflicting relationship between two important actors and analysis of color of their clothing contrasting each other. Here the references of color languages as a language system play the vital roles. Since the meaning of each color is very wide and is beyond the scope of this article, only two black and white elements representing a complete personality conflict are discussed here. Also, the selection of films was solely due to the role of the elements, so the type of genre or other goals are not involved in the selection of works. This research attempts to illustrate and express the influence of color in designing costumes for the actors. An analysis of its visual impact on the viewer will be discussed. In the present study, signification of cloths are considered a cultural sub-code and the research is based on semiotics as its theoretical framework. The data collection is documental and its method is based on observation cards filled through various scenes captured from the films and examining the black and white elements in the actors' clothes. This research is an applied research, and the research plan is descriptive-analytical.

Characterization in creating stories is so prominent that Aristotle, the Greek philosopher, recognized it as the second most important component of stories. Characters of stories are generally considered in two schemes; the direct scheme and the indirect one. In the direct characterization – whether as all-knowing or as characters of the story-characters are introduced. In the indirect characterization, speech, appearance, environment, thoughts and characters’ behavior lead to their recognition. Speech characterization is a component of indirect characterization. This article is a comparative study of speech characterization in the movie “ My Fair Lady” and its dubbed version in Persian. “ My Fair Lady” was made by George Cukor based on the screenplay “ Pygmalion” by George Bernard Shaw in 1964 which has been dubbed into different languages such as Persian. Ali Kasmaei was the manager for dubbing My Fair Lady into Persian and many people consider it as a masterpiece in the history of dubbing films in Iran. Since the characters’ language has a key role in the aforementioned works, a comparative study of My Fair Lady and its dubbed version leads to recognizing speech characterization components and their recreation in dubbing films.

On myths of many nation and especially Iranian exited much narration about a child which reject to runaway undesirable results. On those narrations, primarily child deposit to mountain, sea or tree and there is especial bird or animal which protect him. On all case, we can see sign totem and mythological mysterious area. It seems which story of kuorosh is one of narration about rejected child that on translation to historical texts, changed and at result, totem animal change to nanny.

The contemporary era is above all the age of individuality and the subject of identity and self plays an important role in fiction. This distinction is apparent in the literary works of women, as the process of identity formation in women differs from that of males. In fact, the gender identity of the authors of women's works must be taken into account when analyzing their works. One method of analyzing the structures of a narrative text that examines the role of the subject and the relationship of the actants with each other as story actors is the action model proposed by Greimas. Actans have the ability to engage with society or rebel against it by posing identity challenges that are either aligned or non-aligned. The present paper investigates the role of the "subject" and the concept of "communicative identity" or "multi-part self" in the field of women's writing by conducting a descriptive-analytical analysis of Goli Taraghi's short stories and relying on Greimas' opinions. This implies that the subject engages in an interactive relationship with another in order to regain their lost identity. Therefore, in the writing of women, a distinct form of individuality is established, which can be referred to as communicative identity. This implies that women consistently establish their identity in relation to others, and the concept of "other" is crucial to its development.

Section 115 of Iranian constitution reads: "The president should be among the political, religious 'rejal' ...". The word 'rejal'taken from Arabic language means 'men'. Some Iranian politicians believe that the word has the same meaning in Persian, therefore, women cannot lead the country as presidents; while, others argue that 'rejar can now refer to both sexes, therefore women can be elected as presidents. This, study tackles the issue from a sociolinguistic perspective. To do this, we need to find if the word 'rejal' is now a Persian word borrowed from Arabic, or, it is an Arabic word to which Persian speakers switch. About eleven hours of sociolinguistic interviews were conducted with 10 Persian speakers and all nouns (Arabic or Persian) were extracted from the data and later subjected to analyses to describe the linguistic behavior of each category in its own context. Then the behavior of nouns in each context is compared to that of the other contexts. Our findings show that Arabic origin nouns are found to be behaving like Persian nouns, they have, therefore, been borrowed into Persian and have Persian connotations and functions. Evidence is, therefore, presented to the 'Persianness' of 'rejal', shedding scientific light on a political problem.

Application of regulators in production of pot plants have been increasing due to lowering growth, improving branching and the number of flowering branches. In order to study the effect of levels and application method of trinexapac-ethyl regulator on height control and morphophysiological characteristics and flowering of Zinnia elegans, a factorial experiment based on completely randomized design with three replications was performed. Zinnias seedlings were planted in polyethylene pots and subjected to trinexapac-ethyl with levels of zero, 2×10-3, 1×10-3, 0.5×10-3 and 4.5×10-4 g when the first bud emerged. Trinexapac-ethyl was applied in both foliar spray and soil application. According to the results, 1×10-3 and 2×10-3g trinexapac-ethyl caused significant reduction in plant height. As trinexapac-ethyl level increased, number of branches and flowers were increased accordingly most of which was under the latter treatment. Branch length and leaf number was not affected. The concentrations 1×10-3 and 2×10-3g increased chlorophyll and shoots sugars, but not on root. Similarly, soil application of Trinexapac-ethyl did not showed positive effects. In light of obtained results, foliar spray application of Trinexapac-ethyl may serve as a suitable way to produce dwarf and pot Zinnia elegans  ‘State fair mix’. Based on the obtained results, application of Trinexapac-ethyl as foliar application can control and reduce the height of the Zinnia elegans ‘State fair mix’.

This paper discusses the grounds for and manifestation of Romanticism in fictions by Mohammad Bahman Beigi. Social and political developments in Iran and acquaintance with European literature and culture at the end of Constitutional period and in Pahlavi regime provided the necessary ground for popularity of Western Romantic works and their translation into Persian among Iranians. The influence of the sociopolitical atmosphere in the society, and the personal traits, spiritual homogeneity, tribal life style, the exile and distance from the family all led Bahman Beigi to the Romantic School. However, by purifying the features of this School, he avoided its radical aspects and created pleasant works which move between reality and imagination. The imaginative and real aspects of his works are so mixed that make their distinction difficult.

In a strange and mythological tale in the so-called historical section of the Shahnameh (the Sassanid empire period of Hurmuzd), Bahram Chobin meets a crowned woman in the palace. After that, he weeps blood, overlooks and changes his manners and speeches. He claims to be a king. A number of eight different interpretations and views have been presented about the identity of this mysterious woman, extracted from the Shahnameh or contemporary writings. These are: (1) a witch, (2) fortune of Bahram, (3) a fairy, (4) an angel, (5) a deceptive soul, (6) Daena, (7) a Demon or female demon, and (8) glory. In addition to the Shahnameh referring to this woman as the "fortune" and two ancient and reliable texts introducing her as a "fairy" (Tarikh-i Tabari or The History of al-Tabari and Tabari and Nihayat al-Arab), the traditions and characteristics of the story show remarkable similarities to the narrative theme of "Fairy and Hero". This lady is more likely to be the fortune of Bahram, originally appeared in the form of a fairy and made him fond of her beauty, and provoked Bahram be a rebel against the Sasanian king as he faced his fortune. Through metamorphoses of Iranian national narratives and dropping some part of her mythological points, this fairy has changed to a good-natured, but obscure lady in the Shahnameh.
